Nice deer for being California deer,I am sure some family from Utah,Colorado or Nevada should be able to top that, how hard would it be to to shoot 3 bucks over 24 inch anyhow.

Top deer 172 3/8
And bottom deer scored 160 1/2
And the middle deer is just a solid buck
, I know for sure there are bigger bucks that got killed, I just like to be sarcastic and see what some of these old guys that sit on here all day say

Hunting ethics goes beyond the harvest of the animal. You think that showing ZERO class in posting your pictures does not put your ethics into question?

I think hes using outside spread for spread credit, ill be the first to admit, i did the same thing with my deer this year and luckily i posted the sheet and was promptly corrected and i wont ever make the mistake again, i feel like the scores on all of his are inflated, at least 10 inches. "any families out there that can top that?" what a DOUCHE, trayballs comment is classic
 
I stuck up for this guy a week or two ago when he first posted his own pic.... Having second thoughts now.

Those are some nice bucks but be careful how you say things on here.... Sarcasim is very difficult to type...If that is what you intended.

Trying to look like your still on the high school wrestling team! Really?? Try to look any tougher you might scare yourself. You show nothing to brag about!!

no way your dads buck is a 172 buck try again,you don't get to add in the greatest spread,only the inside so minus 20 = 152
 
If your going to post scores like that while sitting so far back.....at least tuck the ears back....you might be a little more believable. Also....you should go back thru all the photo boards. Many of us have deer posted back 80 years.
 
Those are some great deer......but smokers??? I think we know who and what is being smoked.

Winter hasn't even set in and everyone is already getting irritable.

Nice bucks, congrats! "Trophy," "smoker," "hog," etc... are in the eyes of the beholder.

Any number of families on here can produce a better stack of head gear by the end of the season than mine. Big deal, my family is still the best.

Hghcntrykillr, you remind me of my oldest son a few years ago. He loved a good argument and to mess with people a bit. I found not responding to smack tended to eliminate it. Not much fun messing with someone when you get no response. Good luck to the whole family for a great hunt next year as well.

Where is the family? I do not see mom or sisters, any girls, etc. When you call out like that your sure to get kicked in the teeth. Hunt because you enjoy it, not because you have to make up for your short comings by bragging on your huge... err medium... err somewhat impressive bucks. Instead be thankful you have the opportunity, be thankful you have a dad who can still hunt, be thankful your state has not taken you hunting rights away... etc.

But instead you call out to the net and challenge people you do not know. In the meantime my family will see the true value in hunting is being together, learning, growing, celebrating, winning, loosing, etc. Not ever it will it be based on our ability to stack up animals vs others. We only need to prove ourselves to us and not everyone on the net.
 
Wow! thats all i can say, give the kid a break, so what if he was bragging a bit, those are nice bucks, i actually know the family, and know one works harder than they do, exspecially on the south eastern general season, thats a horrible picture of his dads buck, i have actually held it and knowing them the measurements are probably correct, maybe he said some things he shouldnt have said but remember we were all that age at one time,if i remember right he had a story in Muley crazy a couple of years back and can post a pretty good resume for a 19 year old kid, a couple of 340ish bulls, and several nice bucks, in fact i dont think he has been shut out yet, maybe im wrong on that, it would be fun to see some pics of all your guys general season deer. take it easy and good hunting for whats left of it this year.
 
The thread started off bad in the first place when he took that awful picture of himself posing as a miniature jay cutler and what even made it worse was the terrible sweats he was wearing:) It takes a lot of work to kill good bucks on the general season like the ones he's posted. So I will give him credit for that. But I recall someone posted up a photo of himself and his brothers bucks and they were all over 175 and 25+. One was an absolute toad. So I am sure he got so caught up in how big he made his bucks look in his mind that he wasn't all there when he made that comment. Having said all that congrats on some good bucks and maybe next year you will just post up the story how you killed the bucks and not try and put yourself above others.

I hate these kind of threads and try hard not to get sucked in but.....

You had a good season, you decide to join a hunting website, you post pics of deer that make every effort to embellish the size of the deer and then proceed to call everyone out to the mat. Even if you're just playing (which you may be) that was a bit much for most here to swallow. But then you post scores that basically tell everyone here you think we are dumb enough to believe BULLCHIT or you dont know how to score and then get pizzed when someone suggests that might be the case and to argue it you say that top deer has a 22 inch inside spread?? So what, does he have for ear spread? 28 inches?

Then someone with less posts than you comes on to convince us you're a great guy and outstanding hunting family! Which may be fact and he may be a wonderful honest person who is just setting all here straight BUT may not be.

The only way I pull the BULLCHIT card just thrown is a pic of a tape measure on the top rack showing a 22 inch spread INSIDE!

You guys got some nice deer. Maybe they are on public land, during a general season, but my guess is only one of those is true. Most likely, they are general season deer, but on private land, and in a good area too.

Also- dont give road hunters a hard time... How many trophy deer get shot from the road..? Not many, so in reality, its more rare when road hunters score big... :D Making their bucks much more special...

All three of those deer were killed on the general, public land, in an area that everyone and the dog goes, and they were all killed in the same canyon, that's what scouting, patience, persistence, dedication and hard work does for us

Actually both are very true, it took a bow hunt, muzzleloader and rifle hunt to get those bucks down,on public land on the south eastern unit, cant believe a guy with an honest opinion gets called a liar so easy,
 
Hey DB, aka highcntrykllr,

I am not a road hunter. I archery hunt and hike into some things that would make your diaper so full, it would be around your ankles. So becarefull who yoy call a raod hunter.

This was my buck from last year archery hunt. scores 175, only has an inside spread of 20 inches.

No one really had any issue at all until this young kid called out the family issue. Then when called on it there seems to be inflated scores, etc.

The real issue here is not with the size of the deer, they are decent. However the real issue here is the stupid immature attitude that I am such a stud. Ultimately that attitude never goes over well. And when some little piss-cutter shows up with that attitude it does not go over well.

It amazes me how people need their egos stroked so much. It is one thing to come on here and say look at the decent bucks we found. A total other issue to come on here and have this attitude that I am such a stud, look at how big and macho I am etc.

When this happens everything the piss-cutter is going to say will then be questioned. Ultimately he again has nothing to prove to anyone but himself. However he comes on here and acts like he is gods gift to hunting and we should think so... When in fact he is no different than myself or any other hunter on here... Ever notice how the guys that consistently kill huge bucks never are here to brag, but only to share???

Ultimately at some point in life this kid will realize that not matter what he does, there is always someone bigger, faster, stronger, than he is and that humnble pie will hopefully let him figure out how life works...
 
I hope that nobody thought that is what I was doing with the pics. I just wanted to show the kid that this is what a 20 inch inside spread looks like and a legit 175 buck. But yes, his attitude is what pisses me off.
