My sister was a little lucky in this years drawing and drew a management tag with 3 bonus points. Going into the hunt she had high expectations after seeing the buck my dad got last year and the buck my friend Kerry got three years ago on the management hunt.
While scouting the evening before opening day we spotted this unique 3 point. My sister instantly said that was the buck she wanted to go after opening day.

We watched him until dark trying to figure out the best plan of attack for the following morning. We decided the best thing to do was to perch up on a nearby ridge and try to glass him up instead of hiking into the canyon and possibly blowing him out of there.

The next morning we were in position at sunrise glassing trying to turn him back up. After about an hour of glassing my brother in law spotted him tailing a doe. He followed her into a big cedar pocket and never came out the other side. After a quick game plan my sister and brother in law took off to sneak in from behind while I stayed on the ridge to see which direction the buck went if the stalk did not work out. After about 30 minutes I see my sister within 100 yards of the pocket of trees and and then out of nowhere she just drops to the ground, puts her gun up to her shoulder and fires. The doe runs out of the pocket and nothing follows her so I get the spotting scope back on my sister and can she that she is jumping up and down so I knew he was down. I hurry and pack up my spotting scope and start heading their way. Come to find out, she was sneaking towards the trees when she looked up and right at the tree line is the buck bedded staring right at her so she dropped to one knee and fired one shot killing him in his bed. Way to go sis!

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer? See Zeke for prime example....

I really like the opposite forks on that buck.
