Is this a 200in typical?

I think the deer goes mid 190's...and pushes 200. I think the extra on his left might get him enough to get over the 200 mark. (Just my opinion which isn't worth a crap). I can tell you I wouldn't care what he scores...I'd be flinging lead

It sure wouldn't net 200.......don't care though.

He'd be on the wall if I'd seen him during the season.

Within the shadows, go quietly.

His main beams look a little short to make the magical 200 mark. In other words his "fronts" look a little weak. Just a guess though.

IMO 200 inch typicals need the entire package. He's lacking in a few areas like G1s. He'll gross over 200 with that extra but he'll have a hard time squeekin' over 190 net.

What's been said is accurate. Might gross at 200 give or take. Might not net over 190, but last I checked net 180 makes the book. Not many areas that buck should get passed on opening day IMO.

I would say it breaks 200 gross or dang close. I killed this bucks twin and it went over 200. But not without the inlines.

I'm with Eel and Marley. Those mains and inside spread kill him from being a monster. Mid 190's.

BOOM..... then I get out my tape and find out he grosses just shy of 200" and I'm really happy with a great buck regardless of score!

Well Mass-N-Trash,

You have a knack for finding good sheds. Pick up this bucks sheds and put a tape on them. I think he'll make 200 gross. Sure is a goof looking buck - heavy body and neck, roman nose, and great head gear.

I would love to find his sheds but I have a feeling once the rut is over he will head out and ill loose him. I agree with what everyone else is saying I think he would gross near 200 but not net his beams are to short. Nice buck though

LAST EDITED ON Nov-29-12 AT 07:09PM (MST)[p]That buck is simply awesome! Hes easily over 200" gross and I dont see where his main beams are weak or his fronts... I just dont see it... Maybe because his backs are so deep and tall that your thinkin they are weak but i dont think they are. Those g4s are easily 11 inches.

His inside spread might hurt him a little bit and lack of eye guards, but not enough to keep him from grossing 200 i dont think

I would say that buck will gross 200" but not net it as a Typical. Just an opinion of course!
Here's a photo of a buck I took 2 weeks ago, he will gross 207"-209" & net aprox 195" Typical according to my measurements. I'm not an official scorer! His measurable inside spread is 21 3/4" & has 42" circumference/mass measurements. He has a 28" mainframe & 33" from sticker to sticker, neither scorable, just some info to help out! I agree with others, very nice buck indeed!

Hope this helps!

id guess he will gross over 200. im thinkin 205 ish gross. awesome buck. now find the sheds in a coupe months and we can know for sure

I don't think anyone meant that he has weak main beams or G4s just that they aren't anything special. Nothing weak about that buck. But I do think you have to have a lot of special to get a buck to go over 200". My buck from 2010 had the mainbeams and the G4s to get that 200 inch mainframe. His mainframe went exactly 200 inches and that's with 29 inch mainbeams and 14 inch G4s with a backend very similar to the buck in the video. I think you are looking at a high 180s mainframe and 5 to 6 inches of extras. I think it takes more to get a 200 inch mainframe than most people think. Looking at my buck on the hoof, I thought I was looking at a 210 inch mainframe because I had never seen anything like it in my life and probably never will again.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-29-12 AT 10:49PM (MST)[p]Marley... incredible buck! What did it gross???

Sorry scratch that ? Just found it on the pedistal haha

Elknut, that's a sweet buck. That's the reason why 190 is all time book b&c. After deductions due to extras that count against you and a-symmetry it just takes a big freakin deer to net over 190.

Marley, did you enter your buck into b&c? If so did you do it as a typical or non typical?

Ryan, that buck is awesome! I give his frame 190-193 and 6 in for the in line. It would be cool if I'm wrong. Great buck either way.

Great buck but I just dont see 200. Good beams, great G3, great G4. The average G'2s and lack of eyeguards will hold it down in my opinion. Best I see is 25 inch beam, 14 inch g2 on the side with the extra, maybe 16 at best G2 on the 4 pt side. Possibly 12 inch G 4's and close to 13 inch G 3's. Mass will be 17 at best without eyeguards. Inside spread 22. Unless buck is much more massive than I think or has extremely long beams I dont see any way main frame will be over 190. Body looks average for big buck so I dont think rack will score higher than it looks do to being on giant body. Just my 2 cents however. Still an awesome buck.

Stubaby..... I never entered it in the books. On my wall is good enough for me.
