ever seen this buck?

know its a long shot, but I figure it cant hurt to try. this is a buck my grandpa killed back in 1972. The story I was told was that he took the rack and cape to a local taxidermist in Boise. he partially paid for the mount, but came apon hard times when the remaining balance was due. a year down the road when had the money to pay the balance, the taxidermist had closed up shop and was no where to be found. this picture is the only one we have been able to find. we had it digitally converted from an old slide we found. any info or help locating this rack would be greatly appreciated.

You are right - that is a long shot. Pretty good buck, but very typical, the most distingushing feature looks to be the right browtine.

You might get better results if post where the Taxidermy Shop was located and who he was.
