I saw this on Facebook, the caption said it was a Wyoming Governors tag buck. Does anyone have any details? Where in the state it was killed, story, or score? Great trophy regardless. Congratulations to the hunter.

Monster buck!!!

But I'm getting real tired of these pics that stuff the buck in the camera lense with the guy or guys way off in the background. You can't actually tell the "real life" size of the buck. What a PITA!

He has his hand holding the antlers! He can't get much closer to the deer. Are you telling me that you take your trophy pics and make the animal look smaller than it is?

The pic makes sense because it's dark, and there's nothing else to show anyways. But yes, this is your typical exagerated type photo. The antlers are almost as wide as the picture. He's about as far back as he can go and still keep the buck's head up.

Yep, that buck is only 26" s and scores 176.you guys need a lfe. HODAD BUCK!!

Lol. My guess, 245? So where is Mossback, the helicopters, finders fee guys... Was this actually a DIY hunt?

Holy Crap! Awesome buck

Judas Priest! The guy is sitting almost up on it's neck with his elbow on his knee so he can hold that huge rack up and we get a comment that he's too far away so it'll look bigger, LOL!

I believe it was just taken with a wide angle lens that tends to make things look disproportinate, but IMHO in this case it's just one big friggin buck!

Looks like a sign on a highway in the background... Musta shot it from the highway... Making this a truly rare and remarkable trophy..!! :D :D

That's my 6 year old son holding MY buck. The beard? He has a hormonal issue.

I agree with either a wide angle lens or the camera is six inches from the bucks nose, or both.

Turtle head syndrom. I could go into great length as to why, but better you fly out here and see this for yourself. Its running amuck in this neck of the woods.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-17-13 AT 04:33PM (MST)[p]That was killed last year by a guy from Vernal (Dustin C.). I don't think it was a gov tag, I think it was a Rez buck.

Looks like a chitty camera phone pic to me. You guys crack me up with all your photo analyzing crap! Get a grip on reality! Road sign!?! WTH? All you masters of photo forensics should go to work for the FBI...maybe you can find Jimmy Hoffa or the grassy knoll shooter.

It's an amazing buck, congrats to the hunter!

Never mind, my bad. You guys are were right. He's a slob road hunter with a wide angle lense. I adjusted the brightness and contrast of the original photo....the proof is in the puddin'!

I'da passed, gave him another year or two.

I love the roas sign. The buck is a cull. I'd be more excited shooting a buck with no horns. Chili buck at best. Hehe

IF that is a real picture and if it was harvested by someone with a governor's tag one would think they could buy a decent camera and take a decent, respectable field photo. It is a nice buck but horrible picture, looks fake too.

Yea, the picture does kind of look like its shoved a little towards the camera, but there should be no doubt in anyones mind that that is a giant buck. Anyone can see that. Who cares. Maybe that was the only picture that the hunter wanted to share on the internet. It is a great buck and congrats to the hunter.

You are correct, that is Dustin C and it was 2011. The buck was taken in WY and dry scored at 239 and some change.
