So last weekend it was apparent that the sheds are not dropping yet. Here are some pics. The larger group had19 bucks in it all with antlers. I never managed to catch all in 1 shot but got most. Only 1 really huge 3 point and a couple nice 4 points. In all we saw 42 bucks driving around looking for rabbits and yotes. These are a few shots captured...

WOW! THanks for posting. I love to see that it's mid winter and some nice bucks have made it through the long hunting seasons, the trying times of the rut and winter's sometimes severe conditions and appear to be in decent shape heading toward Spring. Hope you are able to get a few of their antlers to remember them by!

>Cool photos and it looks like
>they're in nice shape for
>the middle of February!

I was pleasantly surprised that they are looking as good as they are... They were all lower than what I am used to for the area but higher the snow is hard, and crusted. I am also surprised considering how horrible the range was this year. Between the horses and cows my home unit looked like ##### this fall.

I hope we get more snow but also hope that it is not too much. A long wet spring would be ideal with slightly higher than normal temps.

Thanks alot. Just when I was finally calming down from the excitement of last season's hunt, you had to to post pictures of a 'herd' of bucks!
Great photos!

>State? Unit?

Your honey's name, bra size, fav. position?.............geez.

>State? Unit?

Utah.... :)

BTW, I've seen at least 1 small forkie drop last week on the property I hunt now and then.

Well, just keep chasing them! Sooner or later the deers will get tired and will weaken enough fro their horns to fall off and you can go pick them up! Although, you could try roping them! Works like a charm. Them horns just pop right off! Like popcorn!

Yea!

How exciting!

Yeah unfortunately these ones were only willing to run a few miles and jump 2 fences. None dropped.

Seriously these photos were all taken from the truck. The only walking I did was to kick up some rabbits for my dad. All but 2 bucks were feeding when we left them... Those 2 were still laying where we found em.
