I am looking for a landowner deer tag for Unit 35 3rd season. Can anyone help, with info to find one such as landowner contact info. It seams almost impossible to find the landowners, the only way to get a tag is through the brokers, who then mark the price up. And the way the law is in Colorado I dont know how they can even be involved in the process. The way I understand it it has to be between hunter and landowner and no 3rd party involved. Any help appreciated Thanks.

There is an advertisement at the top of the page for landowner vouchers. I don't buy them so its the only place I know of to get one...

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

The system has it flaws that is for sure. I bought a voucher a few years ago and discussed the system with the rancher and the guy who sold his vouchers. The rancher said he uses a "representative" to sell his vouchers because he is busy ranching and doesn't want to deal with all the phone calls and emails which is also why there isn't a public posting of landowners that drew vouchers.

I am not sure what the deal was for the representative whether it was hunting access, $ or other perks but he wasn't doing the advertising and spending his time on this for nothing which is understandable.

I've dealt with many landowners in the past, and most don't want to return phone calls, figure out what a voucher is worth, etc. That is why they use an agent. Just like selling a home. They'd rather have someone else dealing with ten thousand tire kickers......and believe me, there are a LOT. It's just the nature of the business.

Call Dennis. Landowners give him a cut for BSing with you, rather than them having to sit on the phone and answer questions about the hunting and such in the unit that they probably don't know a darn thing about.

I'm sure landowners would rather sell the vouchers directly to buyers and cut all middle men out, IF they could avoid having to weed through tire kickers and question askers.
