2013 Utah Draw Odds Report

I posted this in the Utah section as well. Does anyone know when the 2013 Tag and Point draw odds report will be posted on the Utah DWR Website? I am assuming it will be after the regular draw results are posted but how long after should we be able to see these statistics posted? I am curious to see how many people jumped units causing me not to draw my tag this year. We were pretty much guaranteed a tag (13 points this year) based off of last years statistics for the San Juan Archery Deer. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise with the rumors I have heard of the unit being blasted last year and being way down compared to other years???

Just because you haven't seen a credit card hit does not mean you didn't draw. Some people get their email before they are charged. So you can't say you didn't draw until you see that UN...

Just a drought year all units were down last year. Good moisture this year though

Like stated everywhere was down. Hunterinthefield was fortunate enough to guide and kill one of the best bucks taken in the state last year so his opinion don't count haha. But besides that back to the point you said you had 13 points but when you looked at your odds did you look at the 13 point pool or did you look at the 12 point pool? A lot of people would look at the 13 point pool and that would have been wrong you would have needed to watch the 12 point. Also from what I heard there were a few people just that I know that jumped units. The odds report won't be out for a while it seems like they will come out after all draws including antlerless but I could be wrong.

I appreciate the feedback. I understand last year being a drought year, but haven't heard very positive feedback on the unit so far this year. I am hoping this info is wrong. It a beautiful unit and I love visiting and spending time down there regardless. I know we didn't draw due to the $40 charges on my card versus the amount for the limited entry. I also understand the draw odds and people jumping units. I am just curious what the odds will show me and how close we actually were to drawing.

I had a friend that hunted San Juan for deer archery. He killed a 193 buck and it wasnt the best buck he saw. He said it was the best hunt he had ever had and had never seen so many GOOD deer.

Dont jinx me alpine! Theres still hope for me! I didnt have 14 but i was in the bonus pool according to last years odds.
id say the op didnt have 13 points or he would have drawn. For him not to draw that would have meant at least five with thirteen points put in. Un likley because i dont believe there was five with thirteen points on the henry mtns archery.

I think they post the odds in the fall for some reason.

We have always been in the San Juan pool. 12 points this year for our group average. Last year the top point holder in the pool had 12 points and drew the tag. My only guess was someone jumped pools.

With only 2 in your group your odds would have been roughly 50%. If it was just you your odds would have been 67%.
If you had more in your group your odds will go down.

Group apps hurt your chance at the the draw.

I went in as a group. We havent been hit on the card or had points updated. All we put in for was archery first, second choices for general deer tags and no hits in them either. So i guess there is still hope for me.

My friend has never seen his card hit till the letters come out.
