My father and I drew tags this year for the Ruby Mule Deer hunt early season. We were lucky enough to draw the same tag last year and I must say I missed a really nice buck on the last day of our hunt. Looking for any information and leads on were to people have had success. We hunted out of Wells the first couple of days with no luck then headed over to the ruby's. We must have seen over 50 does but just a few bucks. We didn't have time to hunt on the top. On the last day we finally jumped a beautiful 4 point and I simply missed him and never saw him again. Would like to believe that if we go back to the same area we will see him but the odds are not in our favor. Just looking for some clues on names of ridges, canyons, trails, lakes that people have had success. Thank you, Carl W.

My Dad and I hunted just south of Wells on the ML hunt and saw tons of does but no bucks. You need to get as high as you can to find the bucks. Don't settle for the easy route figuring that there will be bucks lower. I had that impression and they simply were not there. One piece of advice....hunt high. Good luck.
