Wyoming unit 130

I recently drew out on unit 130 in Wyoming and I was wondering if any one could help me out. I was wondering if its worth hunting the high country that time of year or should I just stay in the prospects and that area of the mountain.

The prospects. The last week of the season is the best. If theres no snow and hot you will see tons of deer but prob not much quality. If you get some snow and cold the big ones start comming out more and more. Ive came out of that area at the end of october from elk hunting with lots of snow and seen some big studs. The year I had that deer tag it was hot and no snow we seen tons of bucks but I shot the biggest buck I seen. He went 170. If you get some snow and cold it could be a fun hunt.

I had the tag last year. I was stoked when I drew it but more than disappointed in the actual hunt. It was hot and absolutely no snow. The winter kill from a few years prior was more than evident in the herd. We saw low deer numbers and only nine small bucks during the entire hunt. I have seen good deer up there in prior years but the last three years have been terrible. I did not end up shooting a deer. With the current weather patterns the hunt needs to be moved back a couple more weeks. Just my opinion. I'm more than willing to tell you where I hunted but don't think you will have problems figuring out the deer migration routs.

Definately need snow and cold for that hunt. Check out lower squaw creek and grass creek toward the end of the season. During the elk hunt in the past Ive seen a few decent good bucks moving through there. I think thats predator zone for wolves also!!!!!!

Great, Thank you for all the help. If you don't mind can you post pictures of the deer you killed

I took this buck in area 130 on the Prospects. It was hot and no snow and this is the biggest buck I seen so I took him.
