I've had the privledge of seeing some sweet bucks over the years, and some of them broke the 200 inch mark. Here are a couple that did it 3 years in a row.

This first buck was an island deer I first saw in 2010. I heard that he was also a 200 inch buck in 2009, but I never saw him.

2010 I believe his sheds went 240+

2011 He broke a lot of points, but scored 208 broken, 237 unbroken

2012 His best year, scoring 254

This next buck most here are familiar with. A neat buck to see for sure.

2011 This was his 1st year as a 200 incher, scoring 218, with 5-6 inches missing

2012 He came back without the double beam but still scored 209 with 3-4 inches missing.

2013 With mass to spare, he no doubt with again top 200 inches.

These two bucks lived in a realatively tame surroundings, and I've seen very few 200 inchers in the wild, and never on for multiple years.

Feel free to tell about/share photos of you multi year 200 inchers.

Theres logic, and theres women. They don't go together.

Thanks Yelum!
I love seeing how the same buck's antlers can very year to year.

Beautiful animal.

Are you sure the double main beam buck is the same deer? Seems unusual that they deviate that much in one year.

Yep, 100% sure. The deviation was due to an injury, that when healed, he returned to normal the following year.

Thanks Yelum. That is the best example I have seen of an injury goofing up the horn.
Interesting also that they were back to normal the following year.

Great pics by the way.

NMPaul,
I have see several deer pics (usually shot) that had a serious injury on one side of the body, and a messed up antler on the opposite side. For this buck, he had an injury on his left hip, assuming it was a car collision, but healed nicely during the year. Even then I figured he'd be back a normal rack the next year.

Yelum,

Great photos.

I wondered if his right side split beam was caused from an injury? Do you know much about the injury? What side of the animal was injured?

I have a good friend who told me that if the animal is injured on one side, the antler will be affected on the opposite side?

Any info?

Thanks

It also helps that he's the only big buck living year round in this cemetary. :)

Not to steal Yelum's answer but the winter before the buck grew his double beam, I saw him with an open gash on his flank opposite of the double beam. I was told he was bumped by a car.

Is that first buck still alive or was it killed by mossy and the gang?

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"
