Christensen's Arms Owner Convicted of POACHING

finally justice served (Matthew Troy Christensen) owner of Christensen Arms got his past due justice. He was convicted for Poaching in Central Utah, convicted of possession of controlled substance and convicted of joy riding. Bad thing the head was never recovered on the deer to determine if it was a trophy.TROY wheres the head? Does anyone know where the head is??
 
Shot a deer out of season, cut the head off . He stole a truck up the mountain and then abandoned it at the bottom of the mountain.

Sounds weird, I thought the owner was Roland Christensen ex-military and he's pretty much a rocket scientist I can't see this guy doing that crap.

Troy is Roland's oldest son. I don't know how much each owns he just always told us he was the VP and the owner. I am sure his dad gave him part of the company along with his other kids. He was always on their hunting show. Any hows not good.

Ok here's the scoop I had a cmwu tag in2010 I will not reveal my name but I'm sure there will be thoughs that will figure it out. I have some one close to me that was busted for poaching. When he told me the story I told him he was screwed and face the music witch he did. And why I was hunting on the cmwu that I had a tag for some deer were shot,one of which the head had been removed. It was a very large bodied male carcuss. The incident was reported to fish and game. During the time of the investigation there were a lot of things that happened. That we're freighting and verifiably true. I will not say a lot more or respond to any further remarks. Both people I have mentioned not by name In this comment are good people. However if you break the law you should face your conciquensess. That being said. I would like to give the fish and game a thumbs up and the law enforcements involved. For following through with seeing that justice was served. In such a high profile case. Right is right. And no one is above the law. I will possibly receive some heat for commenting on this ordeal but I am the innocent by stander that has been some what caught between some hard feelings and fribilish bullshit and the people I'm talking about here know who you are and you all need to let dust settle and move forward with your endeavors.
 
Yeah, goddamn, that's hard to read and fully understand. You're reading along and then all of a sudden you are so intent on deciphering what is being said, and trying to translate it from hillbilly/tard into English, that you lose the meaning of the whole thing.

There has obviously been a crime here. I believe Ridgeburt murdered his grammar teacher sometime between 4th and 7th grade.

It is my duty to keep the grammar and details at a mumbled mess. It keeps everything in perspective. Glad to see a little humor in this thread. I do hate to see a bad story with the name Troy in it however.

I've seen Troy Christensen in many of their hunting videos, always looking for a big buck and never seeming to find it.

It's always hard to understand how someone who gets to hunt 10 times more than nearly all of us still finds the nead to poach.

He was fortunate to get off with joy riding if he stole the truck. Could have been far more serious charges. Don't know the guy or have an opinion on his character. If he broke the law and got the conviction for it, then good enough for me.
 
The mentality of someone that would take someones truck (unless it was a life or death situation where the authorities/owner were advised immediately after its use) makes me really doubt they are "good people".

I may be jumping to conclusions, but, if a head is missing, the kind of guy that would steal a truck would hide evidence.

That being said, this is only based on the strange bits and pieces in this post. No links to articles or anything else.
 
My brother knows Troy very well and in his defense he does have a few things wrong with him like MS and other issues I don't know if that had something to do with what happened but I just wanted to add this comment so everybody doesn't hate the guy

I don't know the guy, but sure wouldn't hunt with him and sure don't feel sorry for him.

Well good hell, that is one hell of a good reason to be a complete azz wipe, "he has ms". What the hell difference does that make? My brothers father-in-law has ms too, he doesn't steal trucks, have controlled substance issues, or poach. The guy is a dumb azz plain and simple!

ANYBODY could've created that site and written all of those damaging offenses to make a guy look bad. LOL....I'd say he's not a saint.

I think that some of these guys get so caught up in harvesting big deer that their judgement gets cloudy. Didn't John Mogle get popped recently for doing some illegal chit? Idiots in my book.

I have sat back long enough.. Laughed, cursed, and just said WTF! Yes, Troy made a huge mistake, he is responsible for his own actions. I don't like it either.. As we all know there is always two sides to every story and will leave it at that...RIDGEBURT any relation to John Mogle?
 
Are you serious? He made a mistake! Look at the charges. Poached a deer, controlled substance, taking a vehicle that was not his. How can any of you act like its no big deal unless your some lackey for the Christensen's. What does John Mogle have to do with this.
 
Well usually where there is smoke there is fire ms is a bad disease but if this is true facts brought to the table the disease doesn't justify the crime but I don't know I wasn't there so I'll just watch for the updates.
 
In defense of Troy I appreciate the comments posted from those of you that have half a brain and also those that don't have a personal vendetta against the Christensen's.
Before some of you cast judgment on him I want to tell you about Troy and his character.
I have known Troy for 35 years, we were best friends in high school and grew up in each others homes. I can tell you that no one has a bigger heart than Troy, he's also the kind of guy that does things for people behind the scenes and he won't take any credit for it.
No one ever talks about the good things that Troy has done for his family, friends, and community.
Yes it sounds like he screwed up poached a deer and did some other stupid things. I assume that these things happened but I wasn't there so I don't know for sure and neither does anyone else. We will have to see where the lawsuit ends up. But I can tell you that if Troy did it, he will take full responsibility for it, and will do everything that is required of him to make it right.
A few of you really like to talk a lot of trash, like you have never done anything wrong, I say SCREW YOU.
The Troy I know takes responsibility for his actions and doesn't try blaming others or fighting it in court.
I would share a deer camp with Troy any day of the week in fact I think I'll invite him over to my deer camp. What do you say Troy Boy? Would you come and hang out for old times sake?

Yep he is my friend, no I do not work for them or live in Fayette..what difference would it make? No I do not agree or like what happened, who would? No matter what he will always be my and many peoples friend and I will do whatever he needs to help him get better. To insinuate that I am a poacher is insulting and stupid. Troy is basically homebound because of his health..................waiting for all of you to applause, I would feel a lot better if I knew I had support and help to get better, wouldn't you? I used to enjoy the Christensen Arms Outdoor hunting show. I always laughed at the episode where they were hunting in Colorado and Troy missed a nice mule deer buck 10 or 12 times. It is too bad that Mr. Mogle and Mr. Christensen have apparently had a falling out. They seemed to have it all. Great jobs, great lifestyles and lots of quality hunts.

Here's the deal with friends that screw up.....its good to stick by them but when they do something (s) that are so ridiculously blatant, those are no longer friends of mine. Just my opinion....you guys can stick up for him til you're blue in the face. Will you stick up for him the next time? Or the next time? Are you saying if he loses his hunting privileges because of these offenses he'll stop hunting? Is that the kind of person he is? Why risk that in the first place. It's called "character". He shows that he lacks a lot of it by the stupid chit he's done. Just my two cents...

We all make mistakes? True...but some are just so much more serious than others. You have to be a little smarter than to NOT make the big ones.

Nobody that I know would ever applaud the fact that someone is sick, has mental issues, whatever. The only thing most of us applaud about this, is the fact that your boy got caught, and hopefully gets just what he deserves. MS is a bad deal, but like I said in an earlier post, I know many others with the same condition that haven't nor wouldn't pull the same bull shizz your boy seems to like to take part in. I understand standing behind a friend depending on the situation, but I would not stand behind a thief, which is just what your boy is. He stole some persons truck, and also stole from me, you, and every other hunter out there when he decided to become a worthless poacher. And no, before any of you decide to throw the "so what, he deserves the death penalty" phrase, that is not what anyone thinks. I do hope though, that he has to pay a steep steep price for being a complete dumb azz.

If I were an investigation reporter like John Stossel, my guess would be that you are his brother. That would explain why you chose to post about his former employer instead of John's poaching conviction, his loss of hunting privileges, and time spent in jail.

From what I understand troy's case isn't closed yet. If he did what was alleged then he was definitely in the wrong. Utah's right shows no judgement on his case. This case however shows a judgement of guilty:

First of all it is a seven game series and I like the sox's odds. My info came from the web. Troys case has no judgement and johns does according to utahs right.com Perhaps it is not up to date. I am not trying to hijack the thread, I just figured this thread would be a good place to list another poachers name.

I don't remember ever justifying anybody's poaching?? That would be hypocritical. I agree with you wrong is wrong, whether it be poaching, theft or running a red light.

For as long as I can remember people have been listing poachers name on this sight and will continue to. I will do the same.

Troys information is on the web as is johns, and whole lot of other peoples. I don't see how me posting is any different from the original one on this thread.

I know that I am not anonymous. I have posted on this site over the years and shared contact information with people. I wasn't the one that came up with the clever name to post to this thread. You are right on something's and wrong on others. I am a sarcastic prick, I also am balding and overweight.

Christensen Arms is a great company with great people. The last time that I seen or had any contact with Troy was probably about 10 years ago. All of my experiences with him were positive. As others have said he has helped people in their time of need and given back to his community in some ways. I enjoyed what time I was around him.

I am NOT saying breaking the law is ok if your a " good guy". Like you said wrong is wrong.

You may have similar experiences with John, from your view he may be "good guy".
From a professional and personal stand point I don't care what John does as long as it does affect my chances of hunting in this state. John had the courage to start his own company. If he can go out on his own and be successful then he was able to accomplish something that many have failed at. But until his debt to society is paid then he and EVERYONE who has taken game illegally should have to deal with it.

I believe in our judicial system and if Troy is convicted and punished then he will have to live with it.. It doesn't change the fact that I have had only positive experiences him. Two deer were poached in New Harmony this past week. I feel the same for whom ever did that.
I also believe that when people have done their time under the microscope and paid their debt to society they should get another chance no matter who they are, if I know them or not.

I have had family members on the wrong side of the law. It isn't fun, and it shouldn't be. I held a grudge for years towards them because of what they had done. Once they did their time and had proven they were doing right. I forgave them and went about my business. This is no different

I am through with the banter of this thread, shred me as you may I don't care to read anymore of what you have to say. I am taking my kids hunting and going to enjoy my time in the outdoors with them.
 
Well I might know john but what does this even have to do with this forum. I would of liked to of commented on this long ago but I waited till the plaintiff was charged. I was friends with Troy myself but. When this all went down there were things that happened that messed with me and mine. So I will post and read and you know what no one apologized to me.

Of course you do Chris. You see him everyday. Why did you not post his link? Are you wiping you ass with his picture too? Javalan Dane Redd as well was guilty. So why focus on just John? Does Javalan Dane Redd also cost your kids their chances to hunt. Chris do you know the details in the case? Are you doing the dirty work for the Christensen's? Did they put you up to this? Looks pretty bad when you only focus John's case.
