So,
I know of two huge bucks taken near Jackson hole by a cousin of mines two buddies, one is a monster typical 4 point, and the other is a monster non typical. I have seen the photocopied pictures and could post them up, but they wont be very good I think. If anyone has the real ones, POST them please.

These are freaking monster deer. The typical should easily challenge the state record.

If no one has them, I will post the pictures I have of these deer.

Stud buck! But no, the pictures I have are from before the snow arrived! And the non typical in the pic I have is larger than that one.
Do you know Dusty Jones? He is my cousin from alpine Wyoming.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-23-13 AT 00:07AM (MST)[p]I've seen a big NT pic from the archery season. I think he'll push 300". I figured the hunter was keeping quiet for licensing reasons so I didn't bring it up. It's a stud deer. I heard the guy was an rv dealer from Wyoming, but I don't know for sure on that.

My buddy was hunting the buck too so I have seen a bunch of cell phone video of him before he was shot.

Seriously guys, take my word for it. I've never seen a deer like this before. Ever.

I'd Place Money that the Age on any of these Bucks Triple the Age of the average U-TARDville Bucks taken!

Not sure why my two original posts in this thread got deleted, #8 and #9, But you can find pictures of the nontypical at the bottom of touarchers hunt adventure challenge post, I posted the link to it but apparently that is frowned upon. the first 3 pictures are from his personal video and the last three were made public on facebook so I dont see the issue of posting the link to it? Oh well I guess, hopefully you guys see this post before it gets deleted also.

Since the top of Utah's archers weren't good enough to get'r done and a Wyoming boy did, do they change the name to the top of WY archers and does Stalkup get to rename the buck to his liking given he was the one that whacked it...

Stalk ups deer is a toad, so is the typical his brother killed, I've been told the no typical is 232" I have seen one other one this year that was 245"

Just goes to show you can still find a monster in wyoming

I think naming deer altogether is rather silly but I'm sure Mr. Stalkup can name the deer whatever he feels necessary. Changing the name of touarcher hunt adventure challenge on the other hand is a very stupid idea? Why would you need to change the name of HIS story of HIS hunt just because luck wasn't on his side and another hunter killed the buck? I don't know if "not being good enough" is a correct way to say that touarcher didn't go home with the buck. Thats hunting, you win some and you lose some. Heck I'd be stoked just to get the opportunity to see a buck like this in the wild and to have the opportunity to hunt him. I know I have not and probably will not ever be able to see a deer like this in the wild. Thats a deer of many many lifetimes.

What an amazing buck. I bet it would have been quite the show to watch him stalk up and harvest that beast. Where's the pic of buck number 2?

That is one hell of a non typical! But not the same deer as the non typical picture I have. My brother currently has those pictures and he is elk hunting for the weekend, so I will have to wait for him to get back and return those pictures to me before I can post them. Sorry guys.

3B, et-al, I guess I could have done what too often is done when an animal of that caliber is found... I could have drawn my bolt instead of my bow during the archery season in order to sneak one off the mountain as was done by Mr. Stalkup.

I however choose to pursue this magnificent animal "fair chase", I pit my personal traits against an obviously very smart and mature animal with the intention of outsmarting or out-lucking him with my bow in hand - and if it came down to the rifle hunt I hoped to have an opportunity to take him then. I could have shot him before the season the night before it opened, but didn't.

As a matter of interest, my friend CR and I were on the mountain the second weekend of the archery hunt and heard gunshots from directly where the big buck had been spending his days, and wouldn't you know "King" appeared (along with another buck) on Facebook the very next morning at 7:40am?!

I am pretty certain there is no coincidence of what we heard and what appeared the following morning. Though WFG may never have evidence enough to pursue the case due to the rugged and remote nature of the scene and the multitude of wild creatures living there that likely scattered any evidence from heck to breck, the truth will be told some day.

In any case, I hope to have video posted on youtube shortly when I reinstall my video software so you can all enjoy that magnificent animal in his living room. By the way and for what it's worth, I believe "King" could break the current SCI world record archery deer by a few inches. We cautiously video analyzed his antlers and came up with a conservative 276"... and I do mean very conservative.

Jestan, I feel the same way about having seen a deer like that on the hoof in the wild...simply amazed and grateful. I am however saddened at what I believe led to his demise. It is hunting and I was sickened to see the buck with someone else's face behind it, but it was worse to me to think the deer died of lead poisoning before the gun hunt had begun, which isn't fair to anyone who works hard to do it legal and fair.

Don't kid yourself that you won't see a deer like that... I have seen two mega bucks in the past few years in the wild during the hunts, all you have to do is be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. They are out there.
