My sons first buck

We had a day and a half back pack trip planned back in 3 miles,after we got our camp set up we went out for a evening look and came up with this buck right before dark,220 yard bedded shot,California d zone buck at 8000 feet.

We could have called this the karma buck! The week before we saw two very small forks and he could have shot either one of them,they gave us every opportunity at 40 yards.We talked about them for over three minuets and he said let's let them go, and my exact words were usually when you Do something like that a better opportunity comes along.
