Alright guys I shot this buck in 2006 in Cali. Never had him scored but have always been curious. I know he wont score well but his mass is amazing. What do you think?

Sweet buck! that thing is unique. Probably won't score well but would be a trophy in any of our eyes. If I had to guess, 165. Please get him scored and let us know!

LAST EDITED ON Mar-15-14 AT 02:59AM (MST)[p]With all that crazy mass and nice frame he certainly has that zing factor, as nice a Cali buck as i've seen for a good while.

Is that a Muley, a Blacktail, or a cross buck? It would help a lot to know what kind of deer, how big the body was, to guess a close score.

Hey, Thanks fer putting this guy up!!!

Thanks for the replies! He would definitely be a cross. This was a G37 buck. Shot him on Anderson Flat, less than a mile outside of camp after lunch getting ready to drive back up to the top to look for a nice buck! He was looking back at my dad and me and I shot him in the back of his neck as he was trying to sneak into the brush. Glad I didn't get buck fever, because I didn't have much of a kill shot!

ABolt, i don't want to give you my guess as to what his score might be. This kind of buck is truly exceptional, much more about how unusual it is to ever even see one of it's like, let alone come buy such a animal with proper tag in hand and a killing shot.

Though i'm one who talks "scores" often and has for many years, this particular deer, IMO, earns the moniker "Monster" as rightly as a Buck that sits it's place squarely within the Book of Records.

+1 Sage. There are some bucks that shouldn't be scored.
Awesome, massive buck. Congrats!

That is a great buck, He has that Monster look, score wouldn't matter to me because he has all the Bling for me. If you told some-one he scored 160 they wouldn't all they would think he wasn't a BIG one, That mass is super on him and he is a BIG one.

Sweet buck. He has the wow factor and that is better than any number. Bucks like that make me glad I don't care about score.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-16-14 AT 09:46PM (MST)[p]I couldn't even venture a good guess with all that mass. One thing I know, he's beautiful!
Sage has it right, that buck qualifies as a bonified MONSTER!
Congratulations on a buck of a lifetime!

That buck is awesome. Truly phenomenal mass! I'll say he's mid-150's, but as others have said, score is just a number. That buck is truly exceptional.

Buck of a lifetime as far as rarity goes. Absolutely awesome mass. Score doesn't matter on him.

Would never score a buck like that...just relish how cool and unique he is...his numbers won't be good but his cool factor is of the scale...
