Big Velvet (Update)

A while back I posted pics of this velvet buck and every body guessed his width. Most were right there within an inch or so.

He ended up winter killed, and found last Monday. He wound up going 31 2/8 wide, and score 182.

The deer in that area are highly visible and cross the road daily. Its likely he was hit by a car. He was found not far from the road.

I heard there were several dead heads found. Including one that was 37" wide.

If it is confirmed road kill or winter kill out there, does the finder get to keep it? Part of 'drawing the tag' to shed hunt out there?

Finder got to keep the rack, found on the annual shed hunt. Ox, though this deer traveled 7-8 miles to rut, he was picked up a few hundred yards from where all pics were taken.
