Hey all, I am posting on behalf of a friend. The rack below was allegedly stolen from a Lehi, Utah taxidermist named Josh Johnson during the weekend of Oct. 5th and 6th, 2013. This deer was the young hunter's very first, and as you can see by his smile, special as any first buck could be.

Please spread the word and be on the lookout for the rack. It's a damn shame this young man had to start his hunting memories this way. The theft was reported to Lehi PD, so any information should be either given to me to get to them, or to them directly. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

There is nothing worse than a freakin thief. It is unfortunate that people stoop this low. I know of your pain as I have had thiefs steal from me. I will be on the lookout.

Wow what a buck. Will keep an eye out. Good to hear from ya Lisa. Would be cool to see the kid get his buck back.

ALL the horn buyers(local) should be sent a picture of this rack, because with the shed selling season going on, it probably where it will end up. I hope they find the guy before it's ends up a huge pile.

You pretty well summed it up Pred, "damn theives"!
I'll talk it around town and maybe we'll get lucky.

if that deer was at the taxidermy shop when it was taken, they should be responsible.
i had a friend send in a bull elk hide to get tanned and the tannery sent him back a bullet hole ridden cow hide saying it was his! lost out on cost and nice bull hide.
that is a very nice 4x4, hope you can track it down.
o on this subject, in the late 80s my friend and i had one stack 4' high of mule deer racks that were all over 30"+ that were ripped off,it sure takes the wind out of you!!!

>Thats messed up... I hate hearing
>stories like this

Anyone who steels something like this obviously appreciates and knows its a trophy. I don't see how they could hang it over their fireplace and brag about it.

Poaching or steeling someone's deer is just like winning a medal In the "special Olympics" and not being special.
