Anybody here have a membership ? Just wondering if there memberships were worth the hunting.

I hear it can be a little crowded at times. But lots of deer up there.

I have never been there, but know someone that hunts it every year.

Been a member for 30 years. Hunted pretty much every year til 5 years ago.Have always had fair luck. Every year some body whacks a dandy, but I never have. Since the cwmu program started, the east canyon property has a built in brood stock kept up by the cwmu's. When the weather gets bad, the deer move in. You just have to be ready to share yer spot on the hill with a lot of folks. We stopped hunting there because of all the politics and rules, regulations, and did I mention lots of hunters? It's as bad as any public land you will find. But it's close, produces a lot of deer, and is great for a guy who might be limited in time and mobility. I have always had fun.

Hunted up there years ago(20) and loved it. I've been going back up there for the last 4 years and we see lots of deer mostly little ones. Its gets pretty crowded I think this year will probably be my last and start going back to our old spot.

So?

If somebody does Smack a Good Buck?

They Flip a Coin?

Fist Fight?

Or What?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Is the muzzleloader very crowded? Are the deer in there is September?

Elk assassin- never seen a fight yet, but heard some cussin on occasion!!
. Been a couple of kind of shady incidences where a deer was dropped a "short way over the fence". The neighbors are pretty watchful! And they don't mind calling in the fish cops!! Several years ago a guy got excited and plugged one on the wrong side. Lost his brand new ATV to settle with the landowner in the civil Part of the deal. I felt bad for the guy. He just got excited, lost track of where he was shooting. That's the bad part- a long range shooter can shoot across 3 properties! Pretty small in spots.
I can't sell my membership cuz the wife likes the amenities, plus a good place for a nice ATV ride.
Generally a good spot to visit.

Oh, and forgot to mention, muzz in sept can be good, very few hunters, but those rascal bucks know how to hide that time of year!!!
