Hey guys,

I have a buddy in Utah who is wanting to get a great deer mounted for his cabin. He was asking me who I thought would do the best quality job [long lasting, attention to detail, muscle definition, etc.] in Utah. I know Paul Penny does a phenomenal job, but am open to other suggestions. Also, he is worried about the safety of his antlers due to all the stories lately of taxi shops being broken into, etc. So, what do you guys think? Who can be trusted to do the job? Thanks for any/all advice.

I would say try Kelly Memmott and Ben Nielson of AAA Taxidermy in Pleasant Grove. They have done all my big game mounts and they are great guys to work with. Ben runs the day to day. His # is 801-735-6072.

DIRK BAWDEN with big stuff taxidermy in Erda, Utah is with out any question one of the very best in the state.

Jeremy Chamberlain with Bragging Rights Taxidermy did my buck. I couldn't be happier. If you've stopped by Tines Up or Color Country Outfitters booths at the Hunt Expo you've seen his stuff. Top notch!

Dustin Berrato of Beratto's Taxidermy. He is located in Herriman Utah.

Also does top notch work.....

When it comes to mule deer, there are few, if any who do a better job than Stephan Woolstenhulme of Summit Taxidermy in Coalville, Utah. A close second would Josh Hunt of Deer Creek Taxidermy. One or the other seems to win the expo competition every year lately.

Top notch guys, down to earth, easy to talk to and great turn around time.

Try Dave Anderson at "Antler Addiction" they are amazing taxidermists but even more important they are mule deer fanatics. When it comes to deer they are the ones that mount all the big boys. Super cools guys.

I'd go with Michael Christensen (sagebasin.com). His work is awesome and he gets stuff back to you in a reasonable time...

Luke Christensen at Luke's Taxidermy. He had lots of the blue chip pieces at the hunt expo this year. His stuff is amazingly detailed and always looks natural. PM me if interested and I will give you his number.

There are those who are at the top of there game. If you were to go to a taxidermy show you would see different level of artistic work. It all depends on ones point of view. Here's the link to
Utah Taxidermists Association! http://www.utahtaxidermy.org Good Luck!

I am a little impartial, but Dirk Bawden at Big Stuff does some of the best stuff around!
