I own a gun shop in Texas and one of my customers brought this picture in today. He killed this deer in Hells Canyon in 1960. What do y'all figure he would have scored?

An Older Buck!

Probably have to let Him Walk!

He's a little Weak on His G-9's!:D:D:D

Maybe not the greatest scoring buck, but he's a real stud. He's one where I wouldn't even consider score, just BOOM!! A definite shooter for darned near everyone. Except those darned Vernal guys that only chase pisscutters!!

short points yes but those beams look pretty nice. I'd say the frame is 175ish with at least from what I can see, 12-13 inches of thrash. Gotta be mid to upper 180's gross.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

LAST EDITED ON May-07-14 AT 06:48PM (MST)[p]I could be wrong, again :), but i think that buck is better than most here give credit for.

He's easy mid 180's, probably gross low to mid 190's with the extras. Dandy!!!

He might of shot the buck but it appears that it was dead for some time before he found it.

>195 gross, t264 you must be
>from the basin,,?you cant add
>the ears,,,

I'm from nowhere near the basin (1000+ miles) but I can add. Even if his frame is 178 (which it is easily)the 13-15" of extras put him to mid 190. So you're say his frame is 163" + the cheaters???
Not hardly

T264

My biggest question - how did he kill such a nice buck without Sitka pants, Kuiu jacket, and Swaro binoculars? What if his cotton pants and shirt got wet? They say you have to have all that stuff to kill big ones....

Excellent buck regardless of score.
