Need southern Utah help

OK, I drew a Plateau Boulder/Kaiparowits general buck tag. :)

As a non-resident who can't get to scout much, I need some help.

I spend "one weekend a month and two weeks a year" in SLC ;-) , and have hunted the area around Bryce Canyon once when my dad drew a tag about six years ago, and spent a fair amount of time fishing the area about 10 years ago when my parents were volunteering for a few summers at Bryce Canyon.

Otherwise, my time there is limited.

I am retiring from my miltary job later this year, and this is my retirement present to myself (I had been planning it for a while, accumulating points till I knew I could draw).

Ironically, I got the news of the successful draw within a few days of returning home from my latest deployment. :)

So, can anybody help with suggestions to lead me towards a more successful hunt? Probably a DIY, or maybe a "semi-guided" deal (the money just isn't there for a full-blown guided trip).

Hoping for a nice solid representative buck. Not looking to set any records, but hate to burn all of those points on a dink on what is going to most likely be a once-in-a-lifetime hunt for me.

Thanks!
