I've heard and seen examples, that when deer or elk sustain an injury on one side, that following year, the antler on the opposite side can grow very odd.
In this case, his left side is just a stub, and looking on his right side there are some marks on his front shoulder and high on the gut. So these could have been either archery injuries from last year, some other injury, or just nothing.

What do you think?

I'm sure its injury related. My guess is an archer that can hit his paper plate 9 out of 10 times at 110 yards felt very confidant in the a 120 yard shot.

looks like kitty didn't get his dinner to me, how many arrows leave more than one mark, just a guess,,,,,
