LAST EDITED ON Oct-07-14 AT 11:31PM (MST)[p]I shot this buck on the 3rd day of an elk/deer combo hunt. I didn't see any bulls worth harvesting so when I seen this buck with a smaller 4 point, I decided that since he was forked good and tall, he was well worth taking a 335 yard shot at. He dropped immediately after the shot and there was no ground shrinkage here. The taxidermist figured that he was an older deer by his teeth wear and his old roman nose face. I couldn't be any happier to harvest such a great deer with good friends there to watch it all unfold. Now back to the hills in November since my 15 year old daughter has a Whitetail buck tag. When she gets hers, We are going to have the 2 mounted together on a pedistal for remembering our 2014 hunts.

Awesome buck! Congrats.....what part of Wyoming?

Steve

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

Very Nice. Hope she gets a good one.

I got him above Arlington in the Sierra Madre range.

Great buck! I've only hunted the Sierra Madres a couple of times, but it sure is big, beautiful country.

Nice buck, congrats. Arlington is by the Snowies. The Sierra Madres are SW of there quite a distance.

Thanks everyone. I meant the Snowy's. I also had an elk tag for area 11. Seen quite a few bulls, just not the right 6 point to fill the tag. Good thing I have until the end of October to hunt.
