Though not a monster...yet, I had never seen a buck with this type of configuration in person. I'd also never been that close to a live buck either. He would go on to be, IMO, the most photographed buck in Utah history.

I was able to photograph this buck several times during the winter of 2007-08. He just had a look of authority. I also love the contrast between a yearling, and a mature buck.

I spent 4 hours painfully waiting for these bucks to leave their beds and feed across the ridge, waiting for a skyline shot. The good light was gone, and this was as good as I could get. Not very often you see two 235 inch bucks together.

Great stuff!!! Two giants together.......ya, not seen often. Never for me!
That velvet buck is super cool. I hope you get more shots next year. It'll be interesting to see if he still has that split beam thing going on, and how much bigger. I love those funky bucks!
Thanks for sharing the pics bud!

Brian, that split beam buck was the 2010 cemetery buck. Did not have a split beam the next year.

Was thinking two pictures was same buck.( I also love the contrast between a yearling, and a mature buck.) due to the wording.
