I don't know the story behind this buck, but Travis Scott indicated it came from the Kofas. Travis & Troy know Southwest Arizona better than anyone else IMO. That buck is more than a buck of a lifetime. It's hard enough to see a decent buck anywhere in the desert of Southwest Arizona, harder to kill one and to take a buck of this caliber is truly remarkable.

The hunter is Chad Roberts. He is no stranger to big desert deer. He killed a couple nice ones in 2011 & 2012. He definitely is doing something right.

Great Buck! I guess I haven't been spending enough time looking for deer in big gravel patches. Weird habitat, must be picking up rocks for its gizzard.
