Hey guys havent been on in a while and when i finally checked my inbox i received a few PMs asking for pictures so here are a few. I had a blast helping Kolten fulfill his dream of taking a giant buck. If it wasnt for team work and great friends and family it probably would have taken us a few more days then it did to harvest this awesome deer. Thanks to everybody that pitched in and helped along the way.

Kolten hunted hard for this buck, he was with us along the way on every scouting trip we made. At 16 years old and not alot of time that he could be away from school he made his mind up that he would like to kill early on in the hunt. From the time we found this buck he knew it was the one he wanted. opening morning put us 400 yards from the buck but we weren't able to get it done. Two days later Kolten hammered this giant at 150 yards. Koltens buck officially gross scores 238 and nets 233 non typical and is 38 inches wide. Congrats to Kolten and all that helped on this once in a lifetime hunt.

Beautiful buck! I love knowing there are bucks like this still around. It gives me hope that maybe one day ill stumble into one, even in a tough to draw unit. Congrats to the kid.

That's a dream buck right there. Congrats to the lucky young Man.

From looking at the buck in the pic's, I'm guessing that's not a B and C score but a system that doesn't use deductions.

big6, Ok, i'm sure not a official scorer and this is for info and conversation only but in looking at those G-3's, the right side has a rather short G-3 and the other side, to me, looks like that long point would be the G-3, not the short fork off the G-2 higher up that matches the other side. That's why i made the comment i did.

Certainly, i was not trying to take anything away from the hunt or this great buck.

Wow, what a great buck!! Congrats to the young man. Good luck on finding a better one. :)

Sageadvice, I can see the score as written. The G2-3 is palmated so the G-3 will measure longer than what it looks. But I'm guessing that's where most of the deductions came from. Would love to see the score sheet on this monster.

Joey I know exactly what you are meaning and I knew you werent meaning nothing by your comment. I didnt know exactly how it would turn out on score and we actually debated on if we should have it done finally like a month and a half after the drying period was up we decided to do it. Kolten and his family have the score sheet but we will have a copy of it and the deer will be in our booth at the western hunting expo next month.

big6, i'm getting kinda long in the tooth but i still enjoy learning stuff. Scores and dimensions on good sized to monster bucks interest me, always have. Thanks again for posting.
