West Desert Vernon

Hi guys, I have a post similar to this on another unit. I have 7 LE deer pts. I am a archery nut and so trying to draw a archery hunt. I would be close on Vernon unit this year. I am looking to be able to harvest a 24" ish 4x4 that would go 150-160. Wondering how this unit is? If it would be worth me using my pts here. Any advice, help, or info on this hunt would be awesome. Thanks in advance guys.

its not what it used to be. its sad to say but i spend a great amount of time out there every year and a decent forked 24" 4 point is not easy to find

The Vernon Unit and the Book Cliffs will both provide you with those types of bucks... Either one will be good for you to meet that goal.

If you only have 7 LE Pts, you may be looking at 2 or more years before you are in the "Max Points" pool for either unit though... The point creep is killer...
