My wife got lucky in 2017 and drew a Utah Desert Bighorn tag out of the random pool. I got lucky this year and did the same thing.

Most people go their whole lives without going on a desert sheep hunt. Somehow we get to go twice in three years.

We've started scouting and have mainly found small rams and lamb/ewe groups. We did find one shooter but couldn't get him on camera before he cleared the ridge.

I'll post more pics as I get them.

Congratulations grizzly. You already know what a great time it will be. Make it count and cherish every moment.

With luck like that, you and the wife needs to buy a lotto ticket. Get a big one.

Congrats Grizz!
You and your wife are livin large when it comes to hunting!
Hopefully your sheep hunt will be as awesome as hers, but any experience chasing deserts is an unbelievable adventure!
Best of luck and keep us posted.

Scouting was slow last weekend. We saw only two lamb/ewe groups and no rams. We spoke to another hunter scouting as well and they hadn't seen a thing so it must've just been a bad few days.

Here's hoping things pick up next week when we go back.

Oh boy!! Congratulations!! I'm really looking forward to following this thread! Your wife has done fantastic with those 2 fine animals.

Good Luck to you this season

Wow you two are really lucky. Its a plus to draw when your so young and fit ! Doesn't
usually work out that way. That is a really nice moose. Not to take anything away from the sheep. Good luck and keep us updated on your hunt.

Looks like you got a line on a good one grizz! That ram in the last pic would do it for me!

Pretty exciting images right there Grizz. Looks like you are making the most of it.
You're only a few weeks away from an opportunity very few other hunters will ever experience!

Grizz, congrats on the beautiful ram! Most importantly, you had a great time and made memories along the way. Thanks for sharing.

Way to go! That's awesome, and now you will have both of them mounted up alongside each other and be able to reminisce on amazing adventures!

I hope everybody enjoyed the pics. It was a great hunt.

If anybody ever draws a sheep tag in the future and wants an extra set of eyes, just shoot me a PM and I'm there.
