Mulley question

The only bucks I've seen hanging with the does in my neck of the woods are spikes and pisscutter 2 points.

Never bored! I have been trying to locate a buck with out an success. I have seen them together and if not they boys are not to far from the does but in the same general area.

This time a year they may or may not be far away but Bucks with any Size/Age to them Ain't gonna be with the Does!

(((For the Most part!)))

I glassed up 3 herds last weekend that were 25 deer or better and they each had a170 class or bigger buck with them with half of them being does and small bucks that had dropped a side and some small bucks that had both

This time of year its about the same odds you will find bucks herded up with does or just bucks.

They are on the winter range and are where the food is. This warm year has deer spread out more than usual though.

torowy>>>that is true they are spread over a larger area for sure.

Not sure what mulley is either! LOL
Sorry about that.

Two yrs. in a row now...first week in February, I encountered a bunch of deer moving up a wash, got on their trail and found a fresh shed, so I don't think they were all does, unless the bucks are using same trails...

Right now snow/winter and feed has them hanging out in the same area. NOV you will find those same bucks chasing does around and around.

I think your right Elkduds!

Where I go, the big bucks at this time of year are always close by the does, but not hanging out with them. They are with other bucks over the hill, or the other side of a valley, etc. They do tend to hang out in pockets however. It's a wintering thing, and may provide some protection from predators.
