Book Cliffs Resident / Non Resident Group Question

Question for you guys. A non-resident friend of mine has 15pts and wants me to put in for the Book Cliffs with him. I only have 5pts but plan to help him get his buck first if we draw. My question is would we go in with 10pts together in the resident pool or the non-resident pool? With 10pts in the resident pool we would most likely draw but for non-res we would be a ways out and I don't want him to have to wait if that's the case. Anyone know for sure how it works?

Thanks,

I believe you would go into the NR pool...

I wouldn't be lookin at putting in together anyway. I prefer applying separately and when someone draws, you can all focus on that one tag. But that's me...

Good luck

He could draw this year, it seem like.

Put in however u want! My dad and I pulled book cliff deer tags as non residents w 2 points so there's always a chance!

You would essentially be considered nonresident group. They start with the highest point groups and work their way down. A resident tag cannot go to a nonresident so when it came down to the 10 point group there certainly would not be any nonresident bonus tags left even though there might be some resident tags left. Your group would be denied tags since there are no nonresident tags available. The only way you guys would draw a tag is through the random drawing.

Thanks guys. I figured as much. Since that is the case I won't be putting in with him. I'd rather see him get the tag now and I'll just wait a few more years. Or get lucky and draw this year with only 5 points! :)

Good luck to all in the draws!

All I can say is...LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR! Or dirt as the case may be. Whack and stack the Book Cliffs racks this fall! Oh yeah!
