He's a taker for me. I'm terrible at this, but I think he is 28" wide. Keep the pictures coming, I love to see them.

I'd kill him. 27" buck, with an odd configuration..?? I like it.

it would be a tuff call between this buck and that big 4x3. i still think that you have yet to find your buck. if you could use the meat, there's a bunch you've shown that would thrill most guys.

Interestingly, even though this buck appears to be a taller racked buck than the other, he doesn't appeal as much to me as the other buck. Although it's hard to tell from the angle of the pictures, this deer doesn't appear to be as old of a buck as the other buck. He just doesn't have that old sway backed looked that truly mature deer tend to have.

Also, although technically you could say he has a four point frame, the left side is more of a three point frame with a small "inline" point at the end of the G2. It just leaves kind of a spindly look to him in my opinion. With that said, he appears to be the type of deer that, with a few more years of growth, could turn into something special. You never know what those odd antler configurations will turn into given some time.

If there is any chance this deer might make it through the hunting season, I say give him a couple more years to grow. By the time he is as old as the other buck, he could be a real dandy non-typical.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-29-15 AT 03:39PM (MST)[p]Im guessing he is 27 inches or so. Im probably having a real hard time passing him personally if I'm out there. Not a giant but certainly no slouch either. Good looking deer.
