Anyone getting excited??????

Check out this 13B Arizona Strip buck that my son Eric Santana's wife Jonnie from SantanaOutdoors.com took in 2011. This buck is featured in MuleyCrazy Magazine May/June 2012 issue.

This was her first deer hunt, first time putting in, first animal she has ever killed, not bad! To top it off we ran over her gun she used to kill this buck! We call it the Lady Luck Buck! SantanaOutdoors.com Thanks to Mike Conway, Seth Orrs, her dad Joe Lopez, husband Eric Santana II and Father in law me. Thanks for checking it out.

So, that is definitely a nice buck. I wouldn't be passing him up in too many areas.

But... There is no way that thing is 201". I'm sorry to be a hater. Best case scenario, that thing has a 24" spread credit. That leaves 177" of bone... Even with a couple extras on his right side, its just not there. The only part of this buck that reflects a 200" deer is his left main beam and left G4... If all other parts of his rack were similar to that, he'd make the mark...

As I'm looking at him, the best I can get on his length and mass is about 162"... Making him a 186" buck... Just sayin.

I always chuckle when guys looking at a picture will call a guy who can actually put a tape to a deer a liar. I'm going with the OP on 201 gross score...

Chuckle all you like missalot, this one is pretty obvious...

I think it could be a 201" deer, huge beams, long g4's, heavy, it has short g2's but that front end more than makes up for it. With the extra I would have scored it in the mid 190's.

If someone put a gun to my head and told me to guess the score, I would say 190. But I could be wrong, and underselling the buck a little bit. Either way, that is a really cool deer. Kudos!

Seriously Guys! Look closely, it's deceptive but true! Take another look and tell me what you see that you missed!!!

Not one of you that is saying its not a 201" buck has even put a tape to it. When we first field judged it, we too said it was a 185-190 max. She took it because it was a great first time buck, so we thought.

For you doubters, come one down to AZ and check it out. One of the most reputable taxidermist in the country, Clay Goldman Mogollon Taxidermy mounted it for us. He also scored it for us too, it is a 201" buck!

Figure it out, so, what did you miss?
