We passed this buck up 20 different times on a Utah LE unit. Who would shoot this buck on a Utah LE hunt???

He was only 20 yards away when this picture was snapped.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-23-15 AT 10:33PM (MST)[p]WoW, that's a dandy buck. i musta been out of my head but i've passed a couple 30+ in my day knowing there probably bigger to be found. What would have maybe been the best buck of the ones i've gotten, i passed him standing @ 15 yards not thinking much of it until later. Not sure but put the same buck across a canyon were he has only a moment to get away, i probably would put the hammer down.

Seems once a guy gets in really good buck country and is used to passing nice bucks, the easier it is to pass a buck he probably should take. I take that buck pictured on any good muley hunts i got left in me! With me, you never know until i shoot him... or i don't.

depends on unit!!
Henries.. "no"!
Pauns.. "no"..
Juan .... maybe!
Crawford..Pine "yes"
Archery? Muzz? Any weapon?
comes down to personal expectations!

I agree with 30Hart; if the perfect shot was presented yes on all other units. Unless I had scouted a much bigger buck that I was hunting then I would wait until the last week but in the end you probably will have dreams or should I say nightmares- just speaking for myself and my experience bowhunting 39 years.

I wouldn't shoot that buck on SJER archery, ML, or rifle based on what we've seen/shot already this year. He's a mature buck, would be a good buck to take off. If he's sittin there at 20yds when you drive by on the wheelers you might not want to look a gift horse in the mouth so to speak.
