Had the story all typed out and lost it, so here's the condensed version. And I can't figure out pics from my phone.

This year I decided to switch thing up and put in for a muzzleloader tag instead of the normal rifle.

Being my first year with the muzzleloader I wanted to harvest a buck, but was still trying to be selective.

On the second to the last night I was chasing a nice buck that I just couldn't get into comfortable shooting distance. As I waited for him this guy stepped out and I didn't hesitate to shoot.

My wife brought the kids down and met me at the bottom of the mountain cheering me on. I had drank my last water 5 hours earlier so the cold Dr. Pepper was an added bonus.

He's not the biggest buck, but I am pleased with him. Wondering what he did to break off 8-10 inches of his G4.

Thanks for the comments.

Here is a picture that I couldn't get to work earlier.

And the terrain he was living in.

Well I didn't see any country that looked like that, and I didn't see any bucks either, so I definitely could not have helped you after all. Glad you did well!

Congratulations Gledeasy..! I think a 150" 4-point is something to be very proud of. General season is a lot harder for most people than some guys think.

Thanks for sharing your success.

CC,I think the unit you hunted is where my wife has a rifle deer tag. I harvested this buck on a different unit, so terrain would look foreign.

I doubt I would have the tine fixed, but curious if anyone is ever had it done? How realistic does it look etc.?
