Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to draw a third season co unit 201 mule deer tag this year. Does anyone have any experience with the unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-04-15 AT 07:28PM (MST)[p]Quite remote with very limited services nearby so bring plenty of extra fuel, water, and food. Plenty of deer to look over but not what many would consider giants for the number of points required to hunt the unit. Pretty decent roads but bring chains. Glass a lot. And dont be afraid to walk back into some of the more remote areas with limited access. You should have a fun hunt. Oh and don't get in a hurry. As the season progresses you will see more and bigger bucks start to emerge.

I hear kind of the same thing about the unit "good bucks" but not monsters. I'd be really happy with a mature buck in the 175-185 class and a good hunt experience. What class of bucks are people realistically seeing there?

+1 to the previous post. Chains are a must if the weather gets bad. I have been stuck in that unit with chains. No gas station for 70+ miles... bring extra fuel.My favorite unit in CO to hunt!
