Very cool that you have a picture of him. It looks like for whatever reason his last year's antler didn't shed timely creating a glob of velvet that didn't grow to full potential this year?

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Deer?

You always shoot Handicapped Deer?

Bess, I only shoot deer that I can chase around on my ATV . I don't care if there's a road or not I prefer chasing them off the trail. Usually the deer I shoot are the ones that can't keep up with the wheeler. So I'm not bias against healthy deer or handicapped deer. You know I'm kidding.

I honestly shot him because I watched him all summer. I was hoping the hard side would still be there when the hunt started. Two weeks before the hunt he lost his hard side. The night before the opener I spotted him and made a plan. When Saturday morning rolled around, he presented himself very well and I took a very ethical shot. He didn't go far from where I shot him. It was a text book archery hunt.

Could you do a reproduction of the hard horn side and add it to the mount? That's what I would do if possible.

Here are a couple more photos. If anybody out there has something similar to this in there pile of sheds I would be interested in talking with you.

Yeah it looks like the hard horn was getting pretty nasty after a over a year on the head. Very unique for sure, I say see if someone has a similar 3 point shed and you could have it mounted onto the nub side just like it is in the trailcam pic.
