I was able to take this nice buck last week in a general season unit. We had to work pretty hard to get to him, 1900 feet elevation in less than a mile. Pretty much straight up, but worth it. Total outside spread is right at 34" with great mass and lots of character. Really old buck with a huge body.

That is one giant buck... You and your partner there did awesome.!! Thanks for sharing your success with us all.

Great bucks...but yours is incredible. Congrats!

Congrats awesome bucks. Sounds like you really worked for that big one. Those are two of the nicest bucks I have seen from the same hunt in quite awhile. Especially on a general hunt. Great memories and some good eat'n to boot.?

Thanks for sharing,

Was there a lot of sign up on top.

Yeah there was lots of sign on the hill. We saw around 20 bucks in a couple of days, but mostly small forkhorns. Lots of does hanging around. Although the 2 buck we got were really swollen around the neck, they were still hanging with bachelor groups of bucks. The only bucks we saw with does were the small ones. We also saw plenty of wolf sign running the ridges on top, both tracks and crap, but that's pretty normal most everywhere in Idaho these days.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-30-15 AT 10:54AM (MST)[p]Great work!

Your buddy's buck is really nice, but yours makes his look small. Dream buck for sure.
