Luckily for the deer it looks like a young lion. I think a bigger cat would have had one of them dead right there on camera...

Speaking Of Cougar. I thought the Pahvant had a cat infestation, wrong! I saw 5 cats in 2 days up diamond fork. 1 was a loner, got to watch it stalk and chase 3 bull elk through the spotting scope. And the next day I walked within 40 yards of a female with 3 juveniles. I wish the division would let us shoot a cat on our deer tags. The houndsmen sure as hell aren't keeping up with them. Or maybe they need to give more permits. I have seen 14 Cougars in the last 6 years.

Dont tell the houndsmen that, you will be in big trouble. There are simply not that many cats and thats a fact from the houndsmen.
I like the idea of killing a lion with our deer tag. Nevada does something similar.
