I just picked up my 2015 Wyoming buck from the Taxidermist. He is a good addition to my front room.

I like him a lot! I just got mine back from the taxidermist yesterday as well. Shot him in the same country you did yours, same time of year, last year.

Your taxidermist must really like you. It seems like my mounts take over a year to get back. Great buck.

I really like how clean and fresh the cape looks. Also, the buck looks to me like he's had a nice day and is getting ready to lay down for a bit of a snooze. Maybe that's just me. lol

Congrats on that buck, he's special and looks great on the wall!

Looks great. Love that buck. Congrats on your success. What do you have in store for this year? Any more good hunts? Wish I could hunt that Unit this year again. That was fun last year. I am still waiting on my buck to get back from the taxidermist. Waiting "PATIENTLY" :)

Thanks everyone for you comments. I am happy with the deer mount. I hope to get a few more scouting trips in this year. We will be up chasing bucks in the high country of SW Wyoming. I prefer the general deer tag, I don't even put in for the LQ Deer tags. The guy that mounted my deer lives in Tremonton, Utah and his name is Jeff. That's all I can remember.

I see it again and again, great deer done an injustice by the taxidermist.
What is even worse is everyone that says " great deer" which means that the pic of the dead deer is awesome and it is a great buck, however the mount....sorry but that job did not do your buck justice!
Where is the girth of the neck? The coloring of the dusty cape? Did your buck go on a diet before being skinned? Your taxidermist used the wrong size form for the cape, seen it before on a buddies nice buck.
Yes, awesome buck! Really, it is!
But the taxidermist....get another one quick before he ruins something else for you. Sorry I have to be the one to tell you.

I hate to be jerk also but the skull cap looks funny to me, like it is tilted forward or set high, but I am no expert.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-06-16 AT 02:01PM (MST)[p]Congrats on a very nice buck. We all like to see nice bucks. Thanks for sharing. I would agree, the taxidermist should have used a form with a bigger neck. The neck is narrow like a August velvet deer. This isn't a complaint on a fine buck. Congrats again. The taxidermist should have tried to match the picture better.IMO However, some pictures can be deceiving a little.
