So, it looks like the draw gods finally showed me a little favor and I'll be hunting Deseret this fall. If anyone has hunted there before or knows the area well and would be willing to share a little insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the tag!

Tom Land and his crew are fantastic people!

Any advice you would get from us is moot. The operators (who I hear are pretty great guys), will tell you where you can go and shoot a buck. Are you familiar with how CWMUs operate..??

You definitely drew one of the best CWMUs in the state. And the guys there will get you on a good buck I'm sure. Don't expect to have free reign on the property, but they will give you some good direction (away from the giants that the money-hunters will have first crack at).

It would be very cool if you would keep us posted on your hunt. I know we would all like to see how a CWMU hunt goes on Deseret, and see your success.

I helped my buddies dad last year. He killed a 212" buck. There was three others with him easily pushing 200" I would love to go help another guy shoot a stud.

TB - I had the tag in 07 before the big winter kill, was a awesome hunt, the guys that run the CWMU where great with any question I had. Had a friend hunt it last year and he had a great time as well.
I ended up killing a 180 type buck , but chased a giant the hole hunt on the last few days I couldn't find the giant so I killed the 180 buck
More then willing to help or give pointers. Pm me and we can chat....

I used to guide elk hunters up there for many years, you're in for a good hunt.
Ping f-stop here on MM, I believe he is still guiding up there and may be able to share some info.
