When your not looking for them

Went to 16 sunday to start watching the elk herds. Any time I go out to scout for deer cant seem to find the bucks often. Go out of elk and find the bucks. Good to see lots of feed and lots of water out there. Animals look healthy, even with the pressure of wild horses.

Antelope sure are pretty critters!!!! Western American icon in my opinnion!!! Nice pic and thanks for sharing!!

My nephew just drew a pronghorn tag in 16.That lope there looks pretty good!

Yes antelope are good looking this year, I remember last year they looked a little rough after a ##### winter. Not the case this year, nice and healthy. I counted 4 shooters in 16 on a rainy day, so who knows how many I missed bedded down. I would probably take that guy on the tail end of a hunt if I couldn't find a more mature buck. He looks a little young, not as much wrap at the top that we look for, but very tall indeed. Good luck to your nephew! I have yet to pull a lope tag in Nevada boo. My buddy has one in 32, some toads come out of there.

Thanks!I will pass that along to him when I see him.I don't know the area,having never been there,but my brother and his in laws have been there before and bagged a lope a few yrs ago.If that area has thriving herds,then the rest of the state should be in good shape.
