What does he score?

Biggest buck of the year so far. He is not a monster, but I would be happy to take him for my first general archery buck ever. I think he will top out between 150-155. I think he will grow a couple more inches on his G2's and G3's maybe 1 on his G4's, Main beams are about done, maybe 1 inch more. What do you guys think?

I think you are about right on score - I would guess 145 to 150 with the smaller frame and no eyeguards and likely won't add a whole bunch more. I don't really care about score though - he would be a great general season archery buck in my book!! Good luck-hope you stick him!

I'd say 150" is about right. I think with a general season archery tag in my pocket, I'd be going after him as well... Hope you find lots more bucks over the next 5 weeks..!!

I don't mean to sound rude and by all means the trophy is in the eye of the beholder.... But that deer is no where near 150".

Just added him up and I get 127". Maybe he puts on about 7 more inches total for 134". I think way to many people underestimate what a true 160" deer is.

Good luck this year! That is kind of my goal this year also if I don't find the "one" I am looking for. 170" with my bow I would be tickled pink! I have taken many way bigger but never with a bow so that's what I have my sights set on this year. Again good luck and have fun!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-16 AT 04:04PM (MST)[p]You could be right. His frame is small and he has no eyeguards. I shot a buck a while back about 2 miles away from this buck that scored 139 and change. The buck in the pic has better beams and forks. I was thinking the buck currently sits at about 138 and could put close to 12 inches on when done. I just saw him last night and this morning and in all honesty I was excited to post him up. I truly think he will be right around 140 when he is done, now that I have settled down. I can admit when I'm wrong, but it is no fun and definitely not easy. He is just a nice little 4 that I would take on the archery this year. However, he seems to have some potential if he lived another couple years.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-16 AT 03:52PM (MST)[p]Good luck to you too. Here is the picture of the 139 buck. I just switched to archery this year. He is about 21 wide and has eyeguards.

I could maybe see him going 135" as is in that picture. That back right will hurt him a little. If it was a little longer it would help out.

A lot of people underestimate how much eye guards can hurt a score if small or not present.
