How many of you with region H tags are watching the fire reports. Now there is two big fires going near Bondurant. Hopefully we get some cool weather and rain soon.

Possibility of light storms tonight, but unless they dump some real rain, storms tend to add to the problem: between wind and lightening. Could turn into a major burn up there.

Unfortunately, I think these fires arent going out anytime soon, as they have plenty of fuel to burn where they are going and with the winds we are having right now. The weather is not going to cool down anytime soon, and we would need significant rainfall to slow them down. The smoke is billowing from the fire and the entire jackson valley was socked in this morning, I can only imagine what it going to look like as the days go on. Pretty bad spot for a fire to start up, endless amounts of fuel in the hills

Started in cliff creek jumped highway and is burning north northeast towards granite. Last report I heard its at 4500 acres!!!! Also heard one started on deer ridge so not sure if that one grew or not not much info. If ya want some info go to inciweb.com has all the fires burning in US!!

Ya like mentioned above..started in the entrance of Cliff and jumped the road. Then proceeded to Spot fire another fire which is the Deer ridge one about 6 miles north of where the cliff creek one is burning. They have evacuated the entire Granite creek region, and the highway between Hoback and bondurant has been closed for 2 days...but i heard it is supposed to reopen today at somepoint. . Im about to leave the house for work right now, and its plenty smokey here in the valley
