Watersource = windmill / stock tank?

Been hunting Valentine National Wildlife Refuge in Sandhills of Nebraska. This area of Nebraska sits over the Ogallala Aquifer, and there are probably 50+ windmills and stock tanks scattered through out the refuge.

Whitetails generally stay in low lands, near the natural lakes and marshes, and where the few trees are.

Muleys generally stay in the higher ground, up in the Sandhills.

Safe to assume Muleys use stock tanks as their water source(?).

And with short grass prairie and abundant food, they could basically be anywhere(?).

It's kind of been like looking for needles in haystack, but I love the area and will hunt there again this fall.

Yep they will use those tanks, good way to see if they are using one is to rake the ground around it and then check for tracks every day.

Thanks Gator! I was beginning to think the only reason this forum exists is for "what would this deer score" posts... :)
