Mule Deer Lamoille Lake, Snow Lake, Liberty pass

So I recently went scouting for my Nevada tag hunt choice 1331 in unit 102. I have units 101-109 and part of 144. I made it up to Lamoille lake in the Ruby Mountains which is a 2 mile hike. From there I went off the beaten path into the untouched part. Lots of sign including scat seen some rubs. When I got up high to about 10,300 feet set up the spotting scope. Was in that location most the day looking down on a valley I have some pictures that I can post later. But did not see one Deer, also did not see any goats, or sheep. Which is very unusual. I moved throughout the days put in about 8 miles that day with sign everywhere. Just wondering if anyone else has scouted this area?

Early archery season has already started but did not see one hunter the entire day. Only passed one hiker going up to Liberty Pass/lake.

I hunted this early archery last year. We hiked into a drainage behind lamoille lake that had bucks in it. Nothing huge but a handful of nice bucks. Pm me if you want more. We did see two goats in the week we were there.

There are bucks all over the Rubies. I wont put in though. I hunted the area you are talking about 10 years ago and we got shots at great bucks. Not anymore. They have overhunted the range. I hunted hard for 3 days and the best buck I saw was an 18" 3 point. I am not coming back.
