The grandson took an hour to slip up on him. Made a perfect 40 yard shot. The buck only went 75 yards and it was over. This was the best one we seen scouting and opening day, but man there is a ton of deer out there. He had a blast and this is his best buck to date. He was super happy with him and that's all that counts.

No bears but the coyotes were tearing it up every morning and night, they are doing well there for sure. Oh and I have never seen such a fat deer on the bow hunt, he had an inch of fat on his back. We drove into Chucks meats west of Roosevelt to take the deer and have the head put in a cooler because it was so hot and we did not want to loose the meat (nephew still had a tag, which he has not filled yet). He even commented on how fat he was. A lot of the bigger bucks and even does were already grey. My dad used to say that is a sign of a hard and early winter coming, I don't know we will have to see.

Great job by all!
It is fun to have these family outings and hunting events to look forward to.
Nice work!

Not bad at all. I'm on my way out there tomorrow for a Labor Day trip... I'll have my bow in hand, but with that Multi-Season Tag in my pocket, it'd take a pretty special buck for me to fling an arrow...

Tell your grandson we all love that he stuck a nice buck..!!
