Success!! Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho

This fall I did not have high hopes of killing anything After spending a full summer of being injured from a mountain bike crash. I could not exercise or really even get my binos up to my face. Mentally it was a tough summer but i pushed through when the hunts came and was able to kill some respectable, public land, general season bucks. Hope you all enjoy.

So Wyoming had to be mentally the toughest hunt i have done in a long time. Looking over 200 bucks in 4 days without one being what i believe was 6 years old or older. Day 5 i was with my dad and brother and we had rode into a walk in area on horseback about 3 miles. I spotted this old 29 inch 3 point and decided he was the one. I closed the gap to 600 yards and made a good shot!

Utah gave me 2 days to hunt muzzle loader and i made the best out of it. I headed for some good high country and was met by a snow storm with my wife! We headed for some pines to try to stay dry and i found this typical across the canyon from us. A quick look revealed he was a good enough buck for me and i made a good shot through the thick mahoganies.

Idaho opening day was very disappointing. Day before the hunt i located a 180 buck that was so pretty. I bumped him very early in the morning and he ran to some lucky hunters! I spent the rest of the day covering miles and developed a plan for day two to go explore some low country. I hiked most of the day and ran into this good buck and made a quick 400 yard shot on him! So happy to have killed all of these bucks and i am so grateful to be able to hunt these animals.
