3rd Season Buck

As most know it was hot and dry, which in my opinion made for a harder hunt. This was the best buck we seen. Although, we did see some monster bulls, all on public land. We hunted unit 40, 3rd season. It was great camping weather and we visited with a number of other hunters, including some locals. All of which provided us with some good conversation and some great spots to check out. My buck is 29" wide and had a 25" swollen neck.

Thnx for all the positive comments. We were nonres. There is a lot of private land but still plenty of public. A couple spots we hiked into we didn't see any sign that other hunters had been in there and one spot wasn't that far off a road. I had my gps with land status and I felt good about everywhere we went that we'd stayed on public.
