I just got to thinking which buck would you shoot if these two brutes were running together?

Buck #1

or Buck #2

I think it would be a hard decision. I like big typicals and I also like unique bucks with lots of extras.

I think it's boom on the typical for me.

Which one would you shoot?

If I was at a Distance where I could see buck number one mass and character then I would pick him

#2 for me. Both nice bucks though. Probably also depended on situation. Both broadside. I take #2. Now if #1 presents better shot and I'm nervous about both getting away, #1 gets the hammer.

15 years ago when a trophy buck in Wyoming had to be 30 inches, I would have passed on both. Today, trophy bucks are usually 22-26 inches. So, either will do.

But they are already dead... no fun.. .

Honestly, whichever one gave the best shot opportunity. ... nice deer.

Side-by-side probably #2, but I like non-typicals, so it would be a hard pick. They are both great bucks.

#2 for me....congrats on both deer.

elk is just jealous that you can get close to deer like that to take a shot. Usually, elk scares them off half a mile away when they hear his wheeler speeding down the 2 track.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

These are Wyoming deer so I'm talking about Wyoming.
Now, if we're talking about the south slopei wouldn't have to worry about passing these two bucks, because I wouldn't see one this big. :)

LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-16 AT 10:36AM (MST)[p]About a toss up. Great mass and character with number one, but probably number two.

How wide is number one and two. Just interested.

#1. Older buck with more mass. And character.

Were both bucks killed in the same general area?

Number 2 looks really good hanging on your wall. It will be interesting to see how no. 1 looks next to it when you get it back from the taxidermist.

Both of them have a lot of good memories associated with them. Pretty good bucks considering your #1 target bucks were killed by other hunters that were a little closer at daylight on opening morning the last two years.

Nice bucks! I would be happy to drop either of those bucks, but given the choice would most likely settle my crosshairs on number 2 first! Nice deer!
