Has anyone herd if the successful auction tag holder,Troy Lorenz of Canada that bought the tag for 410 Thousand dollars had any success I would like to see the deer if anyone knows about this.

I know for a fact, that Troy did not kill a buck on the island this year, but thats a good thing.

So what was the buck pushing 40 wide with the big hook cheater? Had MB stamped on the pics.

Because had Troy killed a buck on the Island, he could have been charged with poaching. Although he is pictured in the photo, he is not the hunter.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-16 AT 06:16PM (MST)[p]The guy that raised his hand at the auction is not the guy who wrote the check for the tag. Proxy bidding. Some people don't like the spotlight.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-09-16 AT 11:11PM (MST)[p]I know for a fact means you were either there or the hunter was tried and you have read the decision from the court. Is that what you mean?

Buckjunkie,
There was in fact, no poaching, as the hunter who shot the deer, had a tag for that unit. However, the hunter was not Troy. Troy was there on the hunt, and is pictured holding the deer.

This whole AI hunt reminds me of politics in the US....everything is a big secret/scam. There is always "the rest of the story"

There is no rest of the story bamacpl. The hunts go without any problems. No secrets, except to the hunters name which he choices to keep out of the spotlight. The guy sent his guide to SLC to purchase the tag. The guy then hunts and kills the buck. Pictures are taken of the guide holding the buck. The public gets to see dead buck. MM guys wonder what buck the guide shot. I said he didn't shoot a buck. Hope that clears up the secret mystery.
